About Us

Impact Recruting was founded by Phil Maxfield and Tim Harwood. Both Phil and Tim cut their teeth in the high tech recruiting industry in a boutique agency environment. Drawing from their observations of the recruiting industry and the recruiting process, Phil and Tim founded Impact with a finely tuned vision to deliver a unique and personalized recruiting service. Impact Recruiting is committed to building lasting relationships with its clients and trusts that they will consider Impact Recruiting a reliable and effective extension of their business.

PHIL MAXFIELD

Phil hails from Hawaii and moved to the Bay Area to attend school, graduating with a degree in Industrial Engineering and Computer Science from Cal State East Bay. Phil is a black belt in Judo and enjoys outdoor activities in the North Bay where he resides.

 

 

TIM HARWOOD

Tim is a bay area native that graduated from Tulane University where he studied Business and History. Now living in San Francisco, Tim enjoys numerous outdoor activities as well as travel and cooking.

 

 

GP PANAWEK

GP was born in the East Bay and remained there through college, graduating from University of California Berkeley as a Philosophy major. A former collegiate and professional water polo player, GP loves being in the water.

 

 

GARRETT MCLAUGHLIN

Previously worked with a corporate advisory/ VC fund in Sydney Australia, which specialized in raising funds and advising early stage tech startups operating in the mobile, digital media, Cloud, SaaS, eCommerce, digital marketing, and social media sectors. Prior to completing an MBA at the Australian Graduate School of Management at UNSW in April, I enjoyed the past 6 years of my career working on the buy side in the finance industry for funds in California as well as New York City.
